From 29-31 August, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and People’s Republic of China (PRC)’s Ministry of Finance and Xiamen National Accounting Institute held an Anticorruption and Integrity Forum for PRC enterprises and institutions.
The Forum’s objective was to raise awareness among PRC contracting entities and government bodies of the importance of sound integrity risk management practices and adherence to ADB standards in public procurement, asset and financial management, and environmental and social safeguards, for successful participation and delivery of outputs in ADB projects.
Experts from ADB, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), along with Chinese ministries, agencies, enterprises, and institutions discussed the challenges and countermeasures relating to anticorruption and integrity and how to encourage cooperation in addressing them. They also touched on the appropriate business integrity programs and wider discussions on encouraging cooperation.
